Year 6 Transition
Children joining our Academy all have the opportunity to build relationships with us and learn about the next stages of their education prior to starting with us in September.
At Oasis Academy Sholing the most important thing to us is that each new student starts Year 7 feeling safe, secure, happy and enthused to be part of their new school. This not only applies to students; we also want parents to be happy and well informed about the move their child will make from primary to secondary school.
Whilst the academy is closed and we are unable to host visits, it is extremely important that new parents and students are able to get to know us and learn more about the academy. More in information will be provided here soon - In the meantime, this might help you and your child begin to think about the transition to Oasis Academy Sholing in September: https://www.hachetteschools.co.uk/landing-page/hachette-schools/be-awesome-go-big-in-association-with-pixl/
If you have any concerns about your child’s transition to the academy please do not hesitate to contact us.
Our transition team continue to meet with primary school teachers who know our new students well, and also seek information where appropriate from the SEND, safeguarding and attendance teams in the feeder schools to make the transition as smooth as possible.
