Dance Club Shines at Dance That Stage Competition

OAS Dance Club students win five awards at the Dance That Stage competition.

Students from Oasis Academy Sholing are celebrating an outstanding achievement after a hugely successful evening at the Dance That Stage competition, held at The Point.

Members of the school’s Dance Club performed three contrasting routines, demonstrating exceptional versatility across different dance styles. Their performances were the result of weeks of dedicated rehearsal, commitment and teamwork, all of which were evident both on and off the stage.

In addition to competing, students also took part in a Contemporary dance workshop during the afternoon, led by professional dancer Hannah Malone. The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for students to develop their technical skills, explore creative movement and learn directly from an industry professional.

The academy is incredibly proud to announce that Oasis Academy Sholing left the competition with five awards:

  • Molly P – Outstanding Dancer
  • Maria N – Student Leadership
  • Contemporary (Diffraction) – Musicality
  • Commercial (Dancing Divas) – Energy on Stage
  • Musical Theatre (The Greatest Show) – Mental Skills

The students’ professionalism, positive behaviour and strong team spirit were praised throughout the day, reflecting the high standards upheld by the academy.

Miss Lewington, Teacher of Dance at Oasis Academy Sholing, said she was “incredibly proud” of the students’ achievements.

“The dedication and commitment shown by every member of the group has been exceptional. They supported one another brilliantly and represented the academy with confidence, talent and professionalism. These awards are thoroughly deserved.”

Congratulations to all involved in this fantastic achievement.
