Year 10 GCSE Media students attend the Festival of Creative and Digital Industries at Solent University.
On Wednesday, 20th November our Year 10 GCSE Media students attended the Festival of Creative and Digital Industries at Solent University. The event provided students with the opportunity to gain a hands-on, interactive experience with a local creative and digital employer for the day.
Employers tasked the students with a practical brief, reflecting the work within their businesses, but also provided context on the world of the creative and digital industries and the opportunities available to young people.
The event was designed to build student confidence and realise aspirations through interactions with employers in a workshop setting. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day with great practical advice that our Year 10 students will carry with them long after they leave the Academy.
