Year 10 students attend iConstruct event at Fareham Collage.
On Thursday last week, we took 9 talented Year 10 students to iConstruct, a Construction Careers event with a difference. All the students were exceptionally well behaved and really did the academy proud.
They had to do a research task and preparation in advance of the trip, they interviewed professionals from a local construction company, they visited interactive activities such as bricklaying and robotics, and finally prepared and presented their findings to a panel of judges. The feedback from professionals at the event showed that our student asked well thought out questions and came across extremely well.
It was brilliant to see how well they stepped up to the task and really worked hard to impress the judges.
We will not know if the students have won any prizes for their presentations until after half term, but we are hopeful that all their hard work will reap some reward.
