Knife Crime Awareness

Knife Crime Awareness

Year 8 workshops for National Operation Sceptre week!

Thank you to our local police who presented workshops throughout the day yesterday to Year 8 on raising knife crime awareness as part of the National Operation Sceptre campaign.

Each class spent a lesson with the three police officers who made it clear that there is no lawful reason for any young person to be carrying a knife on the street.

A Year 8 student said;

"I found my lesson with the police really interesting. We thought about why some people carry knives and what can happen when they do".

Another added;

"I want me and my friends to stay safe... they explained who to tell if we do think someone might be carrying a knife".
