We are delighted to share the positive outcomes of our recent Ofsted inspection.
We are delighted to share the positive outcomes of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on 4th and 5th February 2025. The inspection highlighted our academy’s many strengths, particularly in leadership, behaviour and the overall student experience.
Inspectors were impressed with our ethos of ‘Striving for Excellence’ which, according to the report, is embedded in every aspect of academy life. They praised the high expectations for behaviour and noted that students feel the school is a ‘kind place’ to learn, where bullying is rare.
Ofsted inspectors praised our academy for leadership and management, behaviour and attitudes of students, and personal development. Inspectors also recognised progress in empowering students through our leadership programme, which encourages them to contribute positively and share their opinions.
One of the key highlights mentioned was our approach to supporting students at risk of absenteeism. Despite challenges with attendance, inspectors acknowledged our proactive strategies, including expert-led therapeutic support and targeted interventions for the most vulnerable students.
Oasis Academy Sholing Principal, Mr M Brown said: “We are thrilled with the positive feedback from Ofsted, which reflects the dedication of our staff, students and the wider academy community.”
“This report highlights our focus on creating a supportive and inclusive environment, where every child can thrive. We remain committed to continuous improvement, and while there is still work to be done, we are proud of the progress we have made.”
