The wait for GCSE results is over as students across the country returned to school one final time to collect their grades.

The wait for GCSE results is over as students across the country returned to school one final time to collect their grades, spirits are high for final year students at Oasis Academy Sholing, Southampton as they look forward to taking their next steps today after securing some great results.

A number of students have achieved superb individual results.

The Pallot triplets, Piper, Abby and Jesse achieved 19 grade 9s between them! Jesse and Piper are moving on to Richard Taunton College to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths A-Levels, and Abby is going on to Barton Peveril to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths.

Demi Rogers, Keira Thorpe, Aimee Withey, and Isla Rossiter all achieved 9 grades between 9 and 7. Demi will be going on to Itchen College to study Biology, Sociology & English Lit A’ Levels, Keira will be going on to Barton Peveril to study English Language & Literature, Psychology and French, Aimee will be going on to Barton Peveril to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths and Isla will be going on to Barton Peveril to study Maths, Psychology and Politics

Evan Bartlett secured 8 grade 7s and I grade 8 and will be going on to Barton Peveril to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths A’ Levels.

Speaking of their results Evan Bartlett said; “I am extremely ecstatic. I feel like years of hard work, especially during lockdown, have really paid off and hopefully set me up for the future.”

Martin Brown, Principal at Oasis Academy Sholing, commented on students’ success saying; “The challenges that individuals and communities have faced over the past two years has been immense. It is with the hard work and dedication of students and staff that the results have increased since 2019. There have been some fantastic individual successes and we are so proud of our young adults.”

KC Chikiwa, Head of Year 11 at Oasis Academy Sholing, added; “We are absolutely delighted with our students GCSE results; they reflect the dedication and resilience of all students and staff. Having worked throughout the lockdowns and disruptions over the last few years our students have gained good results. I am proud of our students achievements and I hope our students continue to strive and challenge themselves in their futures."
